2013 Preston Robert Tisch Awards Gala
The 2013 Preston Robert Tisch Awards Gala was held on the New York Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum on Wednesday, May 15th, 2013. Hosted by the Health & Humanitarian Aid Foundation this annual event is always one to remember. With over 500 attendees filling three hangars aboard the ship the evening featured a beautiful cocktail hour courtesy of Blue Flame Agency (Ciroc Vodka), a live a silent auction provided by Mike Ibe of Do It Legendary and a beautiful dinner ceremony catered by Restaurant Associates and emceed by New York's very own Bruce Beck.

Sanya Richards-Ross
HHAF's very first female honoree, record setting Olympic Gold Medalist, Sanya Richards-Ross.
The first American woman to do so in 28 years, and only the 2nd in history, Sanya Richards-Ross became Olympic Champion over 400m at the 2012 Games in London by overtaking the competition in the last 50 meters of the race. The London games also saw Sanya become tied as one of the most decorated female track and field Olympians of all time after anchoring the 4x400m relay team to gold for the 3rd consecutive time.
The Sanya Richards Fast Track Program seeks to combine sports with literacy and numeracy in a dynamic and outstanding initiative enjoyed by youth in Richards Ross’ native island home of Jamaica. The primary focus of the program is to enhance literacy and numeracy; develop students’ readiness for standardized tests; promote an active and healthy lifestyle through sports; and enhance social skills with regards to professionalism and employability.

Neil Friedman
With 40-plus years in the toy industry under his belt including his role as president of Fisher-Price, Mattel Brands and most recently president of Toys "R" Us, Neil Friedman was the perfect candidate to honor this year for his philanthropic efforts.
Friedman has worked with the Yankee's foundation which helps children in New York through the following organizations: the Urban League, Boys Club, Boy Scouts, Big Brothers, Catholic Youth Organizations, Police Athletic League, Special Olympics, Children's Health Fund, the YMCA and other programs that support the Yankees Healthy Home Plate Program, which focuses on healthy eating and living for kids ages 12 to 15.
Friedman has helped implement athletic, recreational and educational programs for children throughout the city, including his work with the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, which provides college and educational support to children of wounded or fallen members of military
